Air is about the now very popular company, Nike, in 1984 on the verge of closing its basketball shoe division of the company due to a massive lack of sales. Sonny Vaccaro, Nike’s basketball talent recruit, must find a way to save the company’s basketball division. Sonny eventually comes to a conclusion of trying to get an up coming basketball star to sign a deal with Nike. The only problem is that the star does not want to sign with Nike. If Vaccaro can not get the star to sign the deal, the entire staff of Nike’s basketball division will lose their jobs.

In my opinion, Air is a fantastic movie. The movie provides the captivating history behind one of the biggest companies of the 21st century. Being it is rated R, I would not recommend this movie for elementary aged children or tweens because its context is not relatable or appropriate for them. On the contrary, this movie is perfect for teens and parents.  This movie is exciting, humorous, and insightful. Overall, Air is a great captivating movie for teens and adults.

I would recommend Air to all fans of basketball, Nike, and history.
