On May 18, 2023 at 7:00 pm Southside students graduated at Jim Rowland Stadium, 4100 Gary Street. 

“I am going to miss my friends, most of them are older so they will be going to college and graduating, you know? But like I was really close with them so it is gonna be hard being away from them since they helped me through a lot.” said Jake Banning. A lot of younger students are devastated due to the fact that their older friends are graduating and they will not be able to see them since most are moving states for college. For some students though they will continue to live in this area so they can still meet with their old friends during the summer.

On the day of the ceremony, there was supposed to be rain. Luckily it ended up not raining so the graduation ceremony was still held outside where it originally was going to be. On the other hand, Northside had their ceremony under the rain. At the end of the day, everyone who had passed all their classes graduated, we now wish all these new adults the best in their future and careers.
