Q. What are some of your favorite things about being a part of the team? Why are they your favorite?

A. Some of my favorite things about being on the team are performing at games/pep rallies and just forming so many great friendships with the other girls.

 

Q. Do you plan on trying out for the dance team at your high school? Southern Belles or NSteppers?

A. I do plan on trying out for high school dance. I am going to Northside so I will be trying out for N’Steppers.

What is your biggest challenge being captain?

 

 

My biggest challenge being captain was leading the team without sounding controlling. The key to being a good captain is to say things in a respectful way.

What was your most challenging dance routine this year? Why was it so challenging?

 

 

The most challenging dance routine this year would either be our kick dance or our military dance. Both required a lot of control and hard work.

What was your favorite dance routine this year? Why was it your favorite?

 

 

My favorite routine this year would have to be our military dance because it was so fun to perform and it was a crowd favorite.

Who inspires you to dance? Why do they inspire you?

 

 

My coach, Jordan inspires me to dance. She is so hardworking and really pushes me to become a better dancer.

How long have you been dancing? Where are some places you have danced?

 

 

I have been dancing for 13 years. I started off at “Susan and Co.” in my hometown Camden, Arkansas. When I moved to Fort Smith, I started at “Grayce Dewitt” and I danced there for around 7 years. Then I danced at “All That Dance” in Bentonville for a year and now I am at “Danceologie” dance studio.

Do you want to do anything that has to do with dance in your future career? If so, what are you going to do?

 

 

I do want to have dance as my career. I want to own my own studio one day. When I tell people that, usually everyone laughs but dance is my passion and I’ve loved it ever since I started.

Was it hard being captain? What was the best part about being captain?

 

 

Being captain this year was such a blessing I faced some small challenges along the way but overall it was so amazing. The best part was being able to go out there and show off what we had been working so hard on. I loved every minute of it.
