Chaffin’s football team started with a spectacular first game in its season. On Thursday, September 3, Chaffin had its very first game of the season against Darby Junior High at Southside High School. With the coronavirus going around, many safety measures were taken at the game, but that did not stop parents and students from coming down and supporting their team. They all stood at a distance and sat on the bleachers cheering and clapping at every move they made.
Football player Devin Huggins played a great game Thursday night. He made touchdowns from the first to the fourth quarter. Bryant Hasley also made a great play with a touchdown being scored in the second quarter. Overall, it was a great first game with the ending score being 42 – 0.
