Super Bowl LV

Super Bowl LV happened this year on Sunday, February 7th at 5:30 pm. Around 1.2 million people tuned in to watch. Some were very pleased with how everything turned out, others not so much. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers both tried their best, but of course only one can come out on top…that one being the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!

The Super Bowl LV halftime show, or the Pepsi Super Bowl LV halftime show, took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This year, the show was performed by Canadian singer the Weeknd. Some songs played include “Starboy” and “I Can’t Feel My Face.” What fans probably weren’t expecting though were the red-suited doppelgangers. The amazing halftime show came to an end with the hit “Blinding Lights.”

Some had very mixed opinions about the performance, with some finding it creepy. It even sparked memes to be created and shared all over Twitter. The Weeknd spent $7 million of his own money just to produce the show itself. The NFL released a live visual album featuring the whole set, even with the pre-game performances including “America the Beautiful” by H.E.R and the “Star Spangled Banner” by Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church.
