Sunday, the weekend before Mardi Gras, Loreauville Park held their communities annual chicken run. The run started at 9 a.m. with lots of vehicles showing up and people dressed up in traditional Mardi Gras garb. The chicken run took place in 4 different stops, and back at the park was food, drinks, and decorations set up for the people. Usually they host these events every year but haven’t been able to for the past two years due to the pandemic. The people were very excited to see that the events have started to come back. The chicken run is when people will watch all kinds of chickens race each other while Mardi Gras dancers dance around in their traditional garb with music in the background.
