How to Prepare for the ACT

Scarlet Moon

As you may know, the ACT aspires testing is coming up in a few weeks and teachers are going crazy.  Teachers have been in the rush about preparing you for testing.  They have been doing test prep questions, putting you in a testing environment, and even have been taking practice tests with you.  Mr. Marshell is even preparing for the yearly event.  He is very strict about testing and wants every student to be ready.  Here are some things that you can do to prepare yourself for testing.

First, you can get on a regular sleep schedule.  Over the course of the next couple of weeks, start getting on a good sleep schedule so you won’t be all sleepy during the test and fall asleep.  Next, start doing practice questions either online or on paper.  This will help you feel a testing environment and some of the questions may appear on the test.  Lastly, start getting the feel of being quiet for a few hours at a time.  You will be sitting in a room from 8:00 a.m till 11:08 am.  You are not going to be able to just go in there that day and just sit, doing a test.  You need to be able to stand that isolation.  That is why most teachers have been helping you with that skill.

Now, these are only a few tips and tricks you can use.  There are many more but these are just some of the similar ones.
