Chaffin Middle School track team went to the NWAAC MS meet on April 12, 2023. 7th and 8th grade students participated in many things, such as; discus, shot, 4x800m relay, 100m/110m hurdles, 100m, 4x200m relay, 1600m, 4x100m relay, 400m, 300m hurdles, 300m, 800m, 200m, 4x400m relay.

7th grade girls participated in the 4x400m relay and won 2nd place. For the 200 m race Tenley Mortenson got 5th place. For the 800 meter race Ly Le got 2nd place and Vy Le got 5th place. For the 300 meter hurdles Georgia Brunk got 3rd place. Grace Harpenau got 3rd place for the 400 meter dash. For the 4×100 meter relay, Lily Shumate, Quincey Johnson, Kennedi Bourne, Alik Arzoumanian got 4th place. For the 400 meter dash, Harpenau got 3rd. For the 4×200 meter relay, Johson, Bourne, Alik Arzoumania, and Harpenau got 3rd. Brunk got 3rd place in the 100 meter hurdles. For the shot put Rebekah Voris got 2nd. Rebekah Voris got 4th in the discus throw. For triple jump Grace Harpenu got  3rd. For high jumps Harpenau got 2nd.

For 8th grade, the 200 meter dash, Madeline Martin got 1st and Summer Harrison got 4th.  Kayleigh Vore got 3rd and Gianna Garcia got 4th in the 300 meter hurdles. For the 4×100 meter relay Emily Butler, Gutierrez, Martian, and Harrison got 2nd. For the 1600 meter run Bently Rupe got 1st and Logan Cross got 2nd. Butler, Gutierrez, Harrison, and Martin got 3rd place in the 4×200 relay. For the 100 meter Harrison got 4th. For the 4×800 Rupe, Ta, Cross, and Olivia Hindley got 2nd. Layla Brewer got 4th for the shot put. 

For the 7th grade boys, in the 4×400 meter relay Symin Hutson, Jackson Moreland, Easton Norris, and Reman McQuiston got 3rd. Jack Plattner got 3rd, in the 200 meter dash. In the 800 meter run, Eli Underwood got 2nd. For the 400 meter dash, Symin Hutson got 4th. In the 4×100 meter relay, Andy Le, Forest, McQuinston, and Plattner got 4th. In the 1600, meter relay Daniel Morrow got 3rd. For the 4×200 meter relay Le, Forrest, McQuiston, and Plattner got 1st. In the 800 meter run, Underwood got 2nd. For the 400 dash, Hutson got 4th. Forrest, Le, McQuiston, Plattner got 4th place in the 4×100 meter relay. In the boys 1600 meter run, Morrow got 3rd place. For  the 4×200 meter relay Le, Forrest, McQuiston, and Plattner won 1st place In the boys 110 meter hurdles, Le got 3rd and Jackson got 7th. For the 4×800 meter relay Moses, Morrow, Nielsen, and Underwood won 1st. In the boys shot put Thad Sexton got 4th place. Zayden Kirksey got 3rd in the discus throw. For boys triple jump Plattner got 4th. Plattner got 2nd in the boys long jump. In the boys pole vault, Trevor Reed got 3rd. McQuiston got 4th in the boys high jump.

For the 8th grade boys, in the 4×400 meter relay, Seth Christly, Benjamin Ostrander, Kyle Burton, Cash Standridge got 5th place. Baron Hoyt won 5th place in the 200m, and Samuel Robbins got 3rd in the 800m. For the 400 meter Christly won 2nd. Layden Rowe, Carter Traywick, Robbins. Hoyt got 4th place in the 100 meter dash. Christly, Ostrander, Standrige, and Robbins won 4th in the 4×800 meter relay. Robbins won 3rd in the boys triple jump. Hoyt won 1st, and Traywick got 5th in the boys high jump.
